Leon Edwardsâ coach disagrees with Colby Covington title shot: âWhat justifies him really to...
Leon Edwardsâ longtime coach Dave Lovell watched his fighter grind for the better part of six years before finally earning his first UFC title shot off an 11-fight unbeaten streak. So when he sees Colby Covington waltz back into the picture after going missing for a year and nab the next shot at Edwardsâ welterweight strap off of one win, he canât help but agree with the reigning UFC champ that something is amiss at 170 pounds. âIt doesnât sound right. It doesnât fit right with me,â Lovell said Wednesday on The MMA Hour when asked about Covingtonâs status. âAt the end of the day, Leon is the boss, and if he decides to go for it for whatever reason,
Morning Report: Chael Sonnen confused by Joe Roganâs Jorge Masvidal, Georges St-Pierre comments: âThat...
Chael Sonnen has fought against more top all-time greats than any other MMA fighter. Anderson Silva twice. Jon Jones. Fedor Emelianenko. âThe American Gangsterâ Sonnen lived up to his moniker in a fearless fashion, challenging three of the sport's absolute historical best during his career. Sonnen missed out on fighting one other divisional G.O.A.T., however, and that was Georges St-Pierre. Comfortably retired but never forgotten, St-Pierre remains a consensus fixture atop GOAT conversations, which made longtime UFC commentator Joe Roganâs recent comments all the more perplexing. Rogan stated on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast alongside guest Luke Combs that Jorge Masvidal is âon another levelâ above the competition St-Pierre faced, therefore, equating to Masvidal being better than St-Pierre. âThatâs not

No Bets Barred: Can Marlon Vera keep things rolling against Cory Sandhagen at UFC...
This Saturday the UFC concludes an eight-week stretch of events with UFC San Antonio, headlined by a bantamweight matchup between Marlon âChitoâ Vera and Cory Sandhagen, and the No Bets Barred boys are back to break things down. To kick things off, co-hosts Conner Burks and Jed Meshew recap UFC 286, where Conner continued to struggle, while Jed somehow pulled out a good weekend for the first time all year, and where UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev established himself unequivocally as an Enemy of the State for Flyweight Under Nation. Fortunately, Flyweight Under Nation is still thriving as this weekend there are THREE bouts that fit the description and so Conner and Jed dive deep into their UFC San Antonio
Paulo Costa agrees to new four-fight UFC deal, wants Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev...
Paulo Costa isnât going anywhere. The UFC middleweight contender announced Wednesday in an interview with PVT that he has agreed to a new four-fight UFC deal. Costa has complained for months about his pay, which he referred as âridiculousâ and an âunfairâ purse. He said he realized that âonly saying âyesâ [to the UFC] wasnât working.â Now managed by his girlfriend Tamara Alves, Costa said he has finally reached a number that convinced him to re-sign. âI havenât signed the contract yet but we have reached a deal with the UFC regarding the pay,â Costa said. âIt wasnât easy, there was a lot of hard work, and I have to highlight Tamaraâs brilliant work here.â Costa said heâs currently in
